SHARI

In 2004, Shari was awarded a BA in Mass Communication with majors in Film and Television, and Journalism, from Curtin University of Technology, Australia. He was declared best student in Film and Television and received the prestigious "Industry Award for Excellence".

Shari previously worked in the foreign relations department of the president's office and the newsroom of TV Maldives, the state television station, where he wrote and translated news and media-releases.

At Club Hulhevi, he has written and directed fundraising/advocacy digital shorts, documentaries and PSAs and carried out media consultancies.

Shari has also published short stories, film reviews and feature articles.

A strong advocate of art cinema, Shari is driven by a simple philosophy: believe in yourself.
