| AHMED SHAREEF NAFEES (Project-planner, evaluator)
Shareef holds an MA in Development Studies from the University of East Anglia, United Kingdom. In 1996, he was awarded a BA in Public Sector Management from the Queensland University of Technology, Australia.
Shareef has over 15 years of experience in the field of rural development as project manager, co-ordinator, and planner. From 1998-2002 he ran the IFAD-funded Southern Atolls Development Project which targetted more than 10 percent of the Maldives population.
Shareef participated in a review of the UNDP Maldives programme in 2005, as well as leading an evaluation of a Japanese government non-project grant aid for tsunami recovery in the Maldives.
In 2003, Shareef self-published a book entitled Moments Images Verse and Melodies from the Maldive Islands, a collection of his own poems and photographs.
In his spare time, Shareef has been a digital still photographer for over 5 years and, today, has a collection of more than 6,000 photographs taken in the Maldives and overseas, including India, UK and Europe.
