Himalayan Dreams (2006), our 28-minute travel introspective follows a young Maldivian as he travels from sea-level to the foot of Mount Everest. The film has been officially selected by the prestigious Kathmandu International Film Festival (KIMFF2006) and will premiere there in December. More...
Internal Displacement in the Maldives: A View from Two Islands (2005), a 9-minute fund raising/advocacy digital short in English, on the situation of the internally displaced populations in the Maldives, focusing on Thaa atoll Buruni and Laamu atoll Maabaidhoo.
Men as Partners (2005), a frank 25-minute documentary on male participation in reproductive health in the Maldives, which sheds insight into male attitudes and perpspectives, commissioned by the public health department and funded by UNFPA.
The Long Walk Home (2005), a 7-minute fundraising/advocacy digital short in English, for NGO Care Society, on the plight of the physically and intellectually challenged in the Maldives and on Care Society’s efforts to rehabilitate them.
Unwanted Pregnancies: Stories from the Maldives (2004), a 25-minute collection of case studies on unwanted pregnancies from a uniquely Maldivian cultural perspective for UNFPA.
Unbelievable Realities: Violance Against Women (2003), Made for the gender ministry and funded by UNICEF, this chilling 25-minute documentary took the lid off a hitherto largely unacknowledged social problem, and made the official selection at the Film South Asia festival in Kathmandu, Nepal, in 2004.
