High-quality media research and production in the Maldives

ABOUT US

Club Hulhevi is based in Male, the capital of the Maldives, and works in media research, consultation and production.

We make feature-length and short films, documentaries, PSAs and informercials, music videos and fundraising and advocacy shorts.

We have in-house fully-digital production facilities capable of producing broadcast-quality videos, and our experienced and qualified team approaches each assignment with the highest level of commitment and professionalism.

We are well-travelled in the Maldives and knowledgeable on all aspects of life on the islands.

Our work covers social issues as diverse as drug-addiction, disability, reproductive health, child rights, gender and, more recently, the Indian Ocean tsunami and its aftermath.

We have worked with UNICEF, UNFPA, VSO, the Maldives government, and developmental NGOs.

Our videos have been used at workshops to provoke debate, raise awareness, and to initiate change.

They have also been theatrically-released, broadcast, and officially selected at international and national film festivals.

We also research, write, and consult on media-related topics.

"We were extremely happy with the work that Club Hulhevi produced for us. They were very professional and rapidly grasped the issue at hand. Many colleagues gave me very positive feedback when the documentary "Internally Displaced Populations: The Maldives Experience" was aired on TVM. Not only was the programme well received by the public at large, but the 7-minute short has been useful for our donors and partners, helping them to understand the problems that those displaced by the tsunami face, and what we are trying to do to help."
